Our History
Fostering Higher Education in Charkhari Since 2017
Baba Goverdhan Nath Mahavidyalay was established in the historic city of Charkhari, located in district Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2017. Founded with the vision of bridging the gap in higher education in the semi-urban and rural areas of the Bundelkhand region, the college has emerged as a cornerstone of learning.
Affiliated with Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, we adhere to high standards of curriculum structure, examination execution, and evaluation procedures. Over the years, the institution has successfully coached thousands of students, enabling them to secure respectful professions in public services, education, corporate paths, and entrepreneurship.
Our location, Charkhari, traditionally referred to as the 'Kashmir of Bundelkhand' due to its lakes and scenic beauty, provides a peaceful, pollution-free, and inspiring environment conducive to academic focus and holistic personal development.

All course examinations, degrees, evaluations, and academic sessions are directly administered under the guidance and rules of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, a state-level premier university in Uttar Pradesh.

We aim to democratize higher education by making it accessible and financially viable for all sections of society, especially students coming from agrarian and economically challenged backgrounds in Mahoba.
By establishing modern classrooms and laboratory environments, we prepare students to cope with global shifts in science and humanities. We actively engage students in NSS projects, sports, and cultural festivals, nurturing them into patriotic, morally strong, and skilled citizens.
